I wanted a Gore-tex boot of substantial height with a quality cushioned sole. These boots are the only ones I have found. Fortunately, they are excellent quality. I have worn my first pair for a year and will soon replace them because the sole and foot bed are loosing their shape and support. I use them for work about two to three days a week and for motorcycle riding. They have done very well riding in the rain. My only improvement would be to have a softer cushion in the sole. I previously wore Dr. Marten Air-sole and preferred that, but needed the Gore-tex.
