Greatest Hikers available, July 19, 2011 This review is from: Danner Men's 453 Outdoor Boot (Apparel) You will not be disapponited in these, or any Danner boots. I have the Pronghorn 8" 800 gram thinsulate also, $183.99, can't beat them. They are comfortable (both pair), dependable, and very rugged. Shop reviews online, you will be amazed at all the positive reviews, even considering the lofty price. They do run a little wide for the larger sizes, as a "D" width is a bit loose for me, and I usually wear an "E". They are so comfortable, I want to wear them to work, but a corporate attorney in New York might seem like a hick from Little Rock Arkansas if I did. I will save them for the Adirondacks.

Took a week to break in but they are very comfortable. Awsome water proofing. I work in a energy plant and walk in water part of the day every day. No problem. This is the Third pair of Danners I have owned and I will never change up now. No Brainer if you want quality and comfort..
